FAQs for your students and visitors: help center, order and FAQ rich results

Answer the questions you get every week once: organize FAQs by category for your students' Help Center, control their order and visibility, see which ones are read most, and add an FAQ block to your website that Google can read.

In this guide

  • Where FAQs appear: the students' Help Center and your public website.
  • Create categories and questions, and choose their order.
  • Hide a question or a whole category, and see which ones get read.
  • Add FAQs to your website with structured data for Google.
  • Languages and formatting.

Where your FAQs appear

Your public websiteAny visitor, and search engines. An Accordion / FAQ block in the Website Builder.

They're two separate lists: the FAQs in your panel don't appear on the website by themselves, and the website block doesn't fill the Help Center. Visitors ask about prices and schedules; students ask about exams and their account, so it usually makes sense to keep them different.

Ready-to-use questions

At the top of Courses → FAQs, Ready-to-use questions lists the questions students ask most (forgotten password, studying on the phone, contacting you, practice tests vs. exams, certificates…), already written in your academy's language. Only the ones for modules you have turned on are shown.

  • Add creates it as one of your FAQs, visible to students right away. You can edit it like any other.
  • Discard hides the suggestion for good.
  • Add all adds every pending suggestion at once.

FAQs for your students

Go to Courses → FAQs. On the left you have your Categories; on the right, every question with its category, Order, Views and Status, and a Search question box.

  1. Create the categories

Click New category and fill in the Name, an optional Description and Order, and leave Active ticked. Optionally, add an Icon (FontAwesome) such as fas fa-credit-card. Example categories for an SAT prep academy: Getting started, Practice tests and exams, Payments and billing, Live classes.

  2. Add the questions

Click New question, pick the Category, and write the Question and the Answer. Example: "Can I retake a practice test?" → "Yes. Practice tests can be taken as many times as you like; only the official exam counts toward your grade."

  3. Set the order

Order is a number: lower numbers come first (both for categories and for the questions inside each category). It's 0 by default, so number them 10, 20, 30… to leave room to insert new ones later.

  4. Publish or hide

Leave Visible to students ticked to publish the question, or untick it to keep it as a draft (it shows as Hidden in the list).

What students see

In the student area, the Questions? link (or Questions in the side panel, depending on the layout) opens the Help Center: "How can we help you?", a search box that looks in questions and answers, and your categories under Browse by category with the number of questions in each. Clicking a category opens its questions as an accordion.

  • Only active categories and visible questions are shown.
  • Students don't need paid access to read the Help Center, only to be signed in to your academy.
  • Each time a student opens a question, its Views counter goes up. Use it to spot what confuses people most and fix it at the source (a clearer instruction, a better welcome email…).

To check the result, use View as student.

Hide or delete

  • Untick Active on a category (Edit category from its menu) to hide it with all its questions, without deleting anything. Inactive categories don't appear in the category list when you create a question.
  • Deleting a category deletes all its questions too. If you only want to reorganize, move the questions to another category first.

FAQs on your public website

In the Website Builder, add an Accordion / FAQ block to any page and write up to 12 questions with their answers per block. You can choose its style and whether the First open question starts expanded. Many templates already include one.

When you publish, Acatudy adds FAQPage structured data (schema.org) with the questions of the visible Accordion / FAQ blocks on that page, up to 30, without you doing anything. Questions in hidden sections or blocks aren't included. Google decides whether to show them as a rich result; see SEO and Google Search Console.

Good website FAQs

Answer what holds back a sign-up: "Is there a free trial?", "Which grades do you teach?", "How long is the SAT course?", "Can I cancel anytime?". Keep each answer short and specific, and make sure it matches what the page says.

Languages and formatting

  • Languages: each FAQ is written in one language; there are no per-language versions. The Help Center's titles and buttons follow each student's language, but your questions and answers are shown exactly as you wrote them. If you teach in English and Spanish, write the questions in your students' main language or create one category per language (e.g. "Preguntas en español").
  • Formatting: the answer accepts HTML for basic formatting (bold, italics, lists, paragraphs, small headings). Links, images and any other element are removed for security. Plain text with line breaks also works.

Frequently asked questions

Can teachers edit the FAQs?

No. FAQs are managed by the academy's administrators.

Not in the Help Center: links are removed. Describe where to find it in the menu instead.

Do the FAQs in my panel help my SEO?

No, the Help Center is inside the student area, which search engines don't see. For SEO, use the Accordion / FAQ block on your public pages.
