Test prep center software with a question bank, timed exams and an LMS

For SAT, ACT, AP, state test and licensing exam prep centers that want one place for course content, practice, official exams, grades and payments, instead of a question tool, a course tool, a website and a spreadsheet that never quite agree.

Start on the Free plan: it never expires and needs no credit card. Upgrade whenever you need more.

In short

Acatudy is test prep center software that combines a question bank, practice tests, timed official exams, courses, assignments, a gradebook, your own website and Stripe payments in one web platform. You write or import your own questions for any exam, so it works for SAT and ACT prep as well as AP, state tests and licensing exams.

Why test prep centers outgrow generic tools

Most test prep businesses start with a mix of tools: one for building quizzes, another for hosting videos, a website builder, a payment link and a spreadsheet for scores. Every new cohort means copying students between them, and nobody can see a student's full picture in one place.

Acatudy puts the parts a test prep center actually uses together: the content students study, the questions they practice, the exams that count, and the grade that comes out of them, under your own brand.

What you get for your test prep center

Your own question bank

Organize questions by topic and subtopic. Multiple choice (2 to 4 options), SAT-style grid-in answers that accept fractions, decimals and several valid values, and short or essay answers you grade by hand. Every question can carry an explanation students see after answering.

Practice that never runs out

Students build their own practice tests from the topics they choose, with 1 to 200 random questions, in practice mode (instant feedback) or exam mode (timed). You can also attach practice tests to each unit.

Timed official exams

Create practice tests, trial exams (timed, not graded) and official exams. Set the duration (5 to 300 minutes), the number of attempts, the points per question and an optional penalty for wrong answers. Schedule an exam to unlock on exam day.

Results students learn from

After each attempt students see the correct answer and your explanation for every question. On the Professional plan and above they also get a missed-question review and an academy ranking.

Courses, assignments and a gradebook

Subjects with units, videos, documents and required reading. Assignments with due dates, file or text submissions, scores and feedback. A gradebook that weights official exams, practice and assignments the way you decide.

Website and payments

Publish your site with the website builder (there is a SAT/ACT test prep template), connect your own domain and sell access with Stripe: one-time payments or monthly and annual subscriptions.

Any exam, not only the SAT

Because the questions are yours, Acatudy is not tied to one test. Centers use it for SAT and ACT prep, AP subjects, state tests, GED, nursing and CNA practice, real estate licensing, driver's permit tests and professional certifications. The website builder includes templates for several of these verticals.

Import an existing bank instead of retyping it: questions come in from CSV or Excel files, pasted spreadsheet rows, and the GIFT and Aiken text formats, with a preview before anything is saved. See the question bank page for details.

Built for a center, not a single tutor

  • Invite teachers and give each one access only to the subjects they teach: content, assignments, grading, exams and the gradebook of those subjects.
  • Import your students from CSV or Excel. Nobody receives a password by email: each student gets a link to create their own.
  • Choose whether your academy is free for students or paid, and enroll students by course or by subject.
  • Your students use Acatudy in English, Spanish, French or Italian.

Frequently asked questions

Does Acatudy include ready-made SAT or ACT questions?

No. Acatudy is the platform; the questions are yours. You write them or import your existing bank. This keeps your content, and your method, in your hands.

Can students take full-length timed exams?

Yes. Exams can last from 5 to 300 minutes with a countdown, a limited number of attempts and automatic scoring of multiple-choice and grid-in questions. Written answers go to a grading queue.

Does it support SAT-style grid-in questions?

Yes. Numeric questions accept several valid answers, fractions and decimals, with a tolerance you set.

Can I charge students?

Yes. You connect your own Stripe account and sell access with one-time payments or subscriptions. Acatudy's per-sale fee depends on your plan and is listed on the pricing page.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan never expires, has no student limit and includes 10 GB of storage, so you can try Acatudy with a real group before you pay.
