Cookie Policy
Which cookies Acatudy uses, why, and how to change your choice at any time.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, follow the same rules. This policy applies to acatudy.com; each academy has its own cookie policy on its website.
How you choose
On your first visit we show a notice with three equally prominent options: “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Customize”. Until you choose, and if you reject, we only use strictly necessary cookies. Your choice is kept for 180 days in this browser; we’ll ask again when it expires, if you delete your cookies or if the cookies we use change.
Cookies we use
| Name | Category | Purpose | Headline | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| acatudy_session | Strictly necessary | Keep your session (dashboard sign-in, language chosen during the visit) | First party | 120 minutes of inactivity |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Strictly necessary | Protect forms against cross-site request forgery (CSRF) | First party | 120 minutes |
| remember_web_* | Strictly necessary | Keep you signed in if you tick “Remember me” | First party | Until you sign out (max. 5 years) |
| acatudy_consent | Strictly necessary | Store your cookie choices | First party | 180 days |
| Local storage (theme, menus, drafts) | Strictly necessary | Remember settings you choose in the dashboard (dark mode, collapsed menus, Web Builder drafts) | First party | Until you clear it |
| acatudy_locale | Preferences | Remember your language between visits | First party | 180 days |
acatudy.com uses no analytics or advertising cookies. If Cloudflare measures traffic in aggregate, it does so without cookies. Subscription payments take place on Stripe’s checkout page (checkout.stripe.com), which uses its own strictly necessary cookies under Stripe’s policy.
Academy websites
Each academy is responsible for its website and its cookie policy. Besides strictly necessary cookies, and only with your consent, they may use Google Analytics (if the academy sets it up) and third-party content such as YouTube or Vimeo videos and Google Maps, which don’t load until you allow them or click “Load video” or “Load map”. Course videos inside the student area are part of the service you signed up for and load when you play them.
How to manage or delete cookies
Besides the preferences panel, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies you may not be able to sign in.
Record of your choice
To be able to demonstrate your consent we keep a minimized record of each choice: date, version, categories chosen, summarized browser and operating system, and a keyed hash of your truncated IP address (never the plain IP). It is deleted after 24 months.
