Generate questions with Quiddy (syllabi, laws and math)
Turn a PDF, pasted text or a math topic into a reviewed question bank: literal multiple-choice questions with the supporting sentence in bold, or math problems checked by a second independent solution.

In this guide
- Meet Quiddy, the teal fox that drafts your questions.
- Generate literal questions from a syllabus or a law.
- Generate math problems (multiple choice or numeric grid-in).
- Review, save and find the questions later in your banks.
Before you start
- The generator is available on the Basic plan (100 generated questions a month), the Professional plan (500) and the Institutional plan (1,500). Each question counts as 1, whatever the difficulty.
- PDFs need selectable text (scanned PDFs need OCR, which is not supported), up to 100 pages per generation. Pasted text can be up to 250,000 characters (about 100 pages).
- Only the source text or the topic is sent to the service. Your students' data never is.
Tip: one PDF per unit
For best results, upload your syllabus unit by unit: one PDF per unit (max. 100 pages) and generate that unit's questions.
1. Open the generator
Go to Courses → Practice bank (or the Exam bank) and click Generate with Quiddy. Inside a unit, the topic and unit are filled in for you. Teachers open it from the exam bank of their own subjects.
2. Choose the content type
| Type | What Quiddy does |
|---|---|
| Literal text (syllabi, laws) | Writes questions only from your text. Correct answers reproduce the text word for word; only the wrong options are altered (a figure, a deadline, one key word). Six types: choose the correct one, choose the incorrect one, all correct, complete the sentence, none correct and combined. |
| Math and word problems | Works from a topic and a level (Grade 6 to Precalculus, SAT, ACT, or Spanish levels) and, optionally, your theory or sample exercises. Each wrong option comes from a typical mistake, and a second independent solution checks every result. |
3. Set the destination and the questions
Where they are saved
Practice bank or exam bank, subject and unit. You can also create an exam with the questions (as a draft).
How they are
Number of questions (5 to 50), difficulty with the slider (Easy, Normal, Hard, Mixed), types or formats, options per question (3 or 4) and language.
Model
You do not choose it: the difficulty does. Easy and Normal use the fast model; Hard and Mixed use our most powerful model, which takes a little longer.
4. Review before saving
While Quiddy works you can leave the page. When it finishes, every question is editable: question text, options, correct answer, and the bold quote. Questions that fail an automatic check are flagged Review with the reason (for example, "The correct answer does not appear word for word in the text" or "The second solution gives 40 and the marked answer is 45"). Fix, regenerate or discard them, then click Save N questions.
The explanation students see reproduces the article with the supporting sentence in bold; for "choose the incorrect one" questions it adds which option is wrong and what the text literally says. Math questions show the step-by-step solution with the result in bold. Numeric questions accept equivalent answers such as 3/4 and 0.75.
5. Find them later: source and review
Every question in both banks shows its source: Quiddy, Imported or Manual, and Needs review when nobody has checked it yet. Use the chips above the list to filter by source or show only questions that need review, and Mark as reviewed one by one or in bulk. Editing a question also marks it as reviewed. Questions saved from Quiddy's review screen without flags are already reviewed.
Students see every question
Questions that still need review are visible to students, like any other question in your bank: use the filter to check them quickly.
