Connect an Arsys domain (DNS entries in the Control Panel)
Step by step in the Arsys Control Panel: add a CNAME DNS entry for www.yourdomain.es to your academy (Arsys needs the full name), adjust the root domain and Web Behavior, and verify with automatic HTTPS.

Reviewed against the official docs
Reviewed on October 2, 2026 against Arsys official documentation. Arsys changes its screens from time to time: if a menu looks different, the official article is the reference, and the records you create are always the same.
Did you buy your domain at Arsys, or does Arsys manage its DNS? This guide shows, step by step, where to create in Arsys the records Acatudy asks for.
Before you start
- In Acatudy, go to My academy → General → Details & domain, type your address in Your own domain (for example
www.brightpathtutoring.com) and click Add domain. A custom domain is included in Basic and Professional (1 domain) and Institutional (3 domains). - Open How do I link my domain? on that card and keep it at hand: it shows your CNAME target (like
brightpath.acatudy.com) and the IP address for a root domain. - Arsys's help: if you change the DNS servers, Arsys stops managing the DNS entries of the domain. Arsys recommends keeping its DNS servers and changing only the entry you need (for example
www). If your domain already uses other servers, create the records at that provider.
Step 1. Open your DNS records at Arsys
-
Open the Control Panel
Sign in to the Arsys Área de Cliente (customer area), select your product in the left menu and open the Panel de Control.
-
Open the DNS entries
In the Web module, open Entradas DNS (DNS entries).
-
Add or modify an entry
Click Añadir entrada DNS at the top for a new entry, fill in the fields and click Añadir. To change an entry, use the Modificar icon on its row and confirm with Modificar. The form has three fields: Entrada DNS (the full name, e.g.
www.yourdomain.es), Tipo (CNAME, A or TXT) and Valor (the target). There is no TTL field: Arsys uses its own.
At Arsys, write the full name
Unlike most providers, Arsys's help says the DNS entry must include the domain or subdomain (for example www.yourdomain.es). Don't use @ or just www.
Step 2. Point www to your academy (CNAME)
Add this record (or edit the existing www record if there is one):
| Tipo (type) | Entrada DNS (DNS entry) | Valor (value) | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| CNAME | www.yourdomain.es | Your academy address from Acatudy, e.g. brightpath.acatudy.com | (not shown) |
Choose CNAME in Tipo, type the full name www.yourdomain.es in Entrada DNS and your academy address in Valor. Arsys's help notes that DNS records can't point to a directory or a URL: type only the host name, without https://. If a www entry already exists, modify it instead of adding another.
Using another subdomain, such as learn? Use it as the name instead of www, and add that same address in Acatudy. With this CNAME no TXT record is needed.
Step 3. Remove records that get in the way
- Check Comportamiento Web (Web behavior) in the Web module: if the domain shows a blank page, a presentation (parking) page or a redirect, those options use the domain's web entries and can conflict with the records you add for Acatudy.
- Modify or delete any A, AAAA or CNAME entry on the same name.
Don't touch MX, SPF or DKIM records: they run your email.
Step 4 (optional). The root domain
brightpathtutoring.com (without www) and www.brightpathtutoring.com are one domain: if the root also points to Acatudy, it works on its own, redirects (301) to the address you added keeping the path, shares its HTTPS certificate and doesn't count as an extra domain. So you no longer need to forward the root to www from Arsys.
Create the A record on the root
If Comportamiento Web has Redirección a otra URL set for the domain, turn it off first: it conflicts with the A record. Since www already has the CNAME, the root doesn't need the TXT. Create this record, replacing any existing A record on the root:
| Tipo (type) | Entrada DNS (DNS entry) | Valor (value) | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| A | yourdomain.es (full name) | The IP address shown in Acatudy | (not shown) |
At Arsys the root is written as the domain itself (yourdomain.es), not @. Arsys's supported types are A, AAAA, CAA, CNAME, DKIM, MX, NS, SPF, SRV and TXT: there's no ALIAS or ANAME, so use the A record.
Prefer the root as your main address? Add brightpathtutoring.com in Acatudy instead of www, create the same A record and the TXT record (see below). If you also create the CNAME on www, www redirects to the root and the TXT isn't needed.
Step 5. Verify in Acatudy and get HTTPS
-
Wait for propagation
Arsys's help says changes to DNS entries can take 24 to 48 hours to propagate, although they usually work sooner. There's no TTL field to fill in.
-
Verification is automatic
Acatudy checks pending domains every 10 minutes for 14 days. To check right away, click Verify on the Your own domain card: the badge changes from pending to verified.
-
HTTPS is automatic too
Once verified, we issue a free Let's Encrypt certificate and renew it for you, usually within minutes (we retry every hour if the DNS isn't ready). There's nothing to install at Arsys.
-
Check it yourself (optional)
Run
nslookup -type=CNAME www.brightpathtutoring.comin a terminal, or use Google's Admin Toolbox Dig: the answer should be your academy address.
The TXT record (required with an A record on the root)
If you use an A record on the root, Acatudy requires a TXT record to prove the domain is yours (the IP address is shared by all academies). With the CNAME on www you don't need it, not even for the root. The card shows its Host (e.g. _acatudy-verify.brightpathtutoring.com) and Value (acatudy-verify=…).
| Tipo (type) | Entrada DNS (DNS entry) | Valor (value) | TTL |
|---|---|---|---|
| TXT | The full Host shown in Acatudy, e.g. _acatudy-verify.yourdomain.es | The value shown in Acatudy, acatudy-verify=… | (not shown) |
At Arsys, copy the Host from Acatudy exactly as it is, with your domain. Arsys's help doesn't say whether names with an underscore are accepted; if the entry won't save, open a ticket and we'll verify the domain another way.
Common problems at Arsys
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The lookup finds nothing for www | The Entrada DNS was written as just www. Arsys needs the full name: www.yourdomain.es. |
| Your entries disappeared or have no effect | The domain uses other DNS servers: Arsys stops managing its entries. Edit them at that provider. |
| The root still shows a presentation page | Web behavior is set to a presentation page or redirect. Change it, and point the root with an A entry (Step 4). |
| We don't see … pointing to Acatudy yet | Wait for propagation, check the nameservers and the record name and value, then click Verify again. |
| Verified, but no padlock (HTTPS) yet | The certificate is being issued: wait up to an hour. Delete any AAAA record on the same name. |
Still not verified after 24 hours, or verified without HTTPS? Open a ticket in Support from your panel with the domain and a screenshot of your DNS records at Arsys (see Support and response times).
